ALUMNI ENGAGEMENT & FUNDRAISING
DéLana R.A. Dameron provides fundraising expertise and strategy for arts & cultural institutions and projects so they can continue to bring beauty into the world, build up our communities, and provide meaningful spaces for cultural + artistic transformation.
As a culture maker, DéLana R.A. Dameron brings more than 12 years of experience in non-profit fundraising, program, organizational, and board development in the areas of arts & culture and education.
In addition to consulting for small and mid-sized arts & culture organizations towards building capacity and sustainability, Dameron founded and directs BLACK ART FUTURES FUND, and volunteers her time and she currently serves as the chair of the board of Recess.
Coming on board as our Executive Assistant and handler of all things administrative, Elisa Galindez is an actor, singer, dancer, director, writer, and PROUD Bronx, NY native. She is a Hofstra University and CAP21 Conservatory grad and an admirer of home cooking and baking. Elisa continues to explore avenues that lead her to new work within the arts, artists whose mission is to push boundaries, and organizations that make space for new voices that have yet to be heard. It seems only fitting that she join Team Red Olive.
Noor Ibn Najam
Application Cycle Coordinator, Black Art Futures Fund
Joining the team as Application Cycle Coordinator for the Black Art Futures Fund, Noor Ibn Najam is a poet and artist based in Philly, PA. Noor will work with DéLana and the BAFF Executive & Advisory Board to help facilitate the 2019 application process. She’s excited to help sustain Black arts organizations and make community growth a bigger part of her own life as an artist with this work. An interdisciplinary and collaborative thinker whose artistic pursuits include poetry, short-form prose, belly dance, and collage/multimedia, Noor is interested in the various levels of and barriers to “access” as it relates to art, and hopes to dismantle such obstacles toward an interrelated community of artists.
Communications and Grants Coordinator
Coming on board as our Communications Manager, Catherine Ntube is an educator and writer hailing from Austin, Texas. She’s a Harvard and UofSC grad, a Cave Canem and Rockefeller Fellow, and a plant lover. She’s working toward a writing practice rooted in tender witness and careful critique, and interested in the complex intersections between art, philanthropy, and social justice. She will be working part-time with DéLana to produce our social media and web content. You may hear from her specifically about our client, grantee, and donor spotlights, and she can be reached at email@example.com.
